Huron Health Sciences Technology

The Health Science Program at Huron High School, in conjunction with Pioneer High School, has been around for 30 years. It is open to students in the Ann Arbor Public School district who are interested in looking more closely into the field of Health Care. Students learn skills and are prepared to work in the healthcare field at an entry level position after taking the course. Academically, students are challenged by the strong science content which prepares them, both in knowledge and career exploration, for the career they plan to major in at the University level.

The clinical portion of the course provides an excellent opportunity for the students to observe first hand, a variety of health professions.

Lynn Boland RN, BSN, is the Instructor. She has over 15 years experience in cardiology and ICU nursing. Mrs. Boland began her career as a teacher and later completed a second degree as an RN. She is able to apply both her experience as an educator and as an RN in running the Health Science program at Huron.
