School Closing Information Snow Days

School closings (outside of regularly scheduled days off) will be posted on our home page.

Inclement weather may require closing schools or changing school schedules and bus routes. The decision is made after an early inspection of road conditions and school facilities, as well as current or forecasted weather conditions. When schools are closed or schedules and/or bus routes are changed, information is sent immediately to the major radio and television stations-by 6:00 a.m. if at all possible.

Families will be notified through the Schoolmessenger system with an email and phone call to the primary number listed in PowerSchool. Notifications will not be sent earlier then 6:00 a.m. If we are able to cancel school the evening before we will but generally assessment of the roads are done throughout the night in coordination with the WISD Transportation and local law enforcement.
