Kindergarten Enrichment MULTIPLE SUBJECT WEBSITE http://www.thecoo.edu/~apeter/computer_lab.htm - K This is a site with many varied activities. Some links require a sound component I didn't have, thus I didn't get the sound that was "instrumental" in the game. http://www.dltk-kids.com/crafts/miscellaneous/all_about_me.htm This is a wonderful selection of things that Kindergartners will be exposed to in the fall. Parents can create a personalized book, "All About Me", with places to insert specific information. There are crafts, activity pages and other printable things about community, home, and family especially for this age group. http://www.internet4classrooms.com/month2month.htm This Kindergarten page is just the beginning for multiple links to marvelous sites for reading, writing, language arts and math. Use the large arrow pointing to the right at the top and progress through websites for grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 also.
READING WEBSITES http://www.lil-fingers.com/storybooks/index.html This has a few books that are read aloud and more that can be read by readers. Began as a website for emergent readers, this will engage the young readers in your family. They work on improving the site CONSTANTLY. http://www.storyplace.org/storyplace.asp A website that contains stories for non-readers and emergent readers alike, both areas provide a story, follow-up printable activity, and a list of related books your student may like.
WRITING WEBSITE http://www.dltk-teach.com/alphabuddies/index.html This is a wonderful resource to introduce young children to the mechanics of writing. There are plenty of reproducible activities for practicing tracing, coloring and you could even use the tracing pages to practice cutting.
MATH WEBSITE http://www.abc.net.au/countusin/games/game1.htm This is a website for grades K-1 to practice basic skills while playing games. It might be a little frustrating if the students don't get things in exactly the right spot. |
