NEW Spring Parent-teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 25, from 3:30 PM until 6:30 PM and on Wednesday, March 31, from 3:30 PM until 6:30 PM. In order to accommodate more parents teachers are going to pilot arena style conferences on one night and schedule conferences on the second night. The schedule will be as follows: On Thursday, March 25: Scheduled conferences will be held by the entire 6th grade core academic teachers and the Jender, Mally, Campbell, Rye team in grade seven. Everyone else will be in arena style seating in the gym. Borges, Baskey, and Baird will be available for conferences. On Wednesday, March 31: Scheduled conferences will be held by the entire 8th grade academic core teachers and the Mark Donnelly, Beaupre, Hawkins, Starfield team in grade seven. Everyone else will be in arena style seating in the gym. Special’s Teachers will be in arena style seating in the gym both days. Letters for scheduled conferences will be mailed by the end of the week. The arena style conferences will end at 6:30 p.m. Teachers will be able to see their last parent of the night beginning at 6:25 p.m. Please plan accordingly. We hope that this format will allow more parents to meet with teachers. At the end of conferences the staff will be discussing the merits of this approach.
