Community Ensemble Theater’s Benefit Show, Pie Sale and Silent Auction
6:00 pm

Enjoy a wonderful evening of music, performance and pie, and bid for low-cost items through Community Ensemble Theater’s Third Annual Benefit Show and Silent Auction.  Community High’s Ensemble Theater members will perform musical numbers and scenes, and will be joined by members of other high school performance groups and bands. Bidding for the silent auction will take place before the show and during intermissions and will include low-cost items that will appeal to adults, children and high school students.  There will also be a huge variety of pie slices available, as well as whole pies for sale. Items are available for viewing and bidding at 6:00 p.m.; the Benefit Show will start at 7:00 p.m. Craft Theater at Community High School (across from Kerrytown – parking is available in the Community High School parking lot and at Kerrytown). Benefit show tickets are $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for children, students and seniors.  There is no charge to bid on the items or buy pies. Call 662-1693 for further information and ask for Jennifer.


 

Mock Trial Results:

Our teams came in 1st (A) and 3rd (B) out of 41 teams.  Both teams now advance to the state finals in Lansing on March 27th.

CHS Jazz Results:

The CHS Advanced Jazz Combos participated in the Western Jazz Invitational in Kalamazoo yesterday and had a lot of fun. We're excited that the
festival had three combo winners, and one of them was ours, Maxed Out! (Max Bowen, Max Hully, Jud Branam, Aidan Cafferty, and Spencer Johnson).
All five of these students also won outstanding soloist awards. Also, guitarist Max Bowen was named runner-up for the top soloist of the whole
festival.

Other CHS jazz students who won outstanding soloist awards were Kyle Morrison, Alex Patten, Ken Ball, Josh Fendrick, Will Smith, Leif Gearhart-Hall, Paul Smith, Sophie Tulip, Jake Johengen, John Schneider,
Catrin Dowd, Erez Levin, Don Gozzard, Adam Olshewski, Milan Griffes, and
Ben Pernick.

Power School Access

PARENT POWERSCHOOL ACCESS: Parents  have received a letter from the school district with their login/password and information regarding accessing PowerSchool. You should have received this letter the week of October 18. If you did not receive this letter and would like access to your account, please contact the CHS main office. You can come in to get it (bring your ID) or it can be mailed to the address on file. Login information cannot be provided over the phone or via email.
