Welcome to the Dicken Media Center
About the Media Center
Dicken students visit the Media Center at least once a week to learn Information Literacy and Technology skills, as well as choose resources for checkout. Times have changed since we adults used school libraries, and our curriculum today reflects the needs of today's information rich era. We still read and talk about books, but we also use the computer lab and laptops to learn important research skills. We reinforce classroom curriculum through the use of the Michigan Educational Technology Standards.
Kindergarteners and 1st graders start with one book, and get two later in the year. All other grades checkout two books, with exceptions and special times adding more!
