About the PTO
Eberwhite has an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM in the Media Center. Free childcare is available during the meeting. The PTO works hard to support the school staff in making Eberwhite a great learning environment. The PTO contributes to the classrooms directly with stipends for teachers, which are used for supplies, field trips, and special projects.

The PTO also contributes to a rich learning environment at Eberwhite by sponsoring events such as Science/Math Day, Mind Fair, weekly Web Club, and special assemblies throughout the year. Finally, the PTO helps make Eberwhite a fun and safe place for our children to learn and grow through activities like our annual Ice Cream Social, Family Picnic, Sock Hop and bake sales.

Fundraisers
Most of the PTO's funds are raised through the Grocery Scrip program, where a percentage of money spent at local grocery stores goes directly to Eberwhite.  Great Lakes Scrip extends the Scrip concept beyond groceries so that you can earn money for Eberwhite by using gift cards at other retail stores and gas stations.  The PTO also sponsors other programs to raise funds such as the Spring and Fall Book Fairs.  In addition, donations are always a welcome source of funds to contribute toward great programs for Eberwhite kids. Simply drop off a check made out to 'Eberwhite PTO' in the PTO drop box in the main office!

Get Involved
Parents are invited to get involved! In addition to participating in Scrip, attending Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings and volunteering for PTO activites/committees, we also invite parents to consider helping out at after-school clubs sponsored by the PTO and joining their child(ren) at lunchtime.

Roots & Wings
Root & Wings is the monthly newsletter for Eberwhite, sponsored by the Eberwhite PTO.  Downloads and instructions on how to submit information (articles or ads) are available online.

Eberwhite Message Board
The Eberwhite Message Board (EMB) is a Google Group that has been set up to post announcement-only messages from the Eberwhite Office and PTO.  To receive these announcements via email, update your contact information in your AAPS PowerSchool account.
