You must already be a First Steps participant to register on-line for classes. 
New families:  Please come to the next orientation.  You won't be able to sign up online until you do.  Here is the link: orientation schedule

On-line Registration Dates for Summer 2013 Session:  May 28 to June 17, 2013.   If you miss this window, please see Sherri to find space in a class.

The fee for Summer is $84 (7 weeks of classes beginning June 17 and ending August 10) unless you have a scholarship with Rec&Ed.  Check our sliding fee scale to see if you will qualify based on your family size and annual income.  If your income is less than our D level, then please apply for a scholarship here.  It does take 10 days so please do it early.

If you do NOT have a Rec&Ed account:
1.    Go to Rec & Ed website click here
2.    Choose “Create New Account” and follow the directions. Then call Sherri to connect your new account to your First Steps. account

NEW ONLINE REGISTRATION DIRECTIONS:  

Click on this link to begin registration for your class with First Steps.  Register 

• Choose the tab: Click Here to Register for
• Find:  Activity number or Keyword?  Type in the name of your CLASS.
• Click on the class
• Click on the button:  Add to my Cart
• Log in to your RecEd account
• Choose your child’s name from the drop-down Participant option
• Answer the medical condition question and then put in the coupon code (SUFs13)  and hit APPLY.  It’s right next to the coupon code.  This removes the second class fee ($63) and leaves the membership fee of $84 for your classes.  Don’t’ forget to APPLY! 
• Click on Continue
• Look at the bottom of the screen where it says:  ALL DONE?
• Proceed to checkout – If you have 1 child and you’re finished registering, click on this and follow along until the end.  There is now an option to print in the upper right AND it tells you when you’re finished!
• Enroll in Activity – If you have another child who will attend the SAME class, choose this option (there is no additional fee!).

Want to take a second class with your child?  Now you may do this in the same transaction!

When you get to ALL DONE? after signing up for your first class, choose Enroll in Activity and type in another class choice.  Follow all the steps as above except this time the coupon code will not work and you will pay the $63 for the second class.

Proceed to Checkout and pay for everything at the same time!

One Issue:  Do you have more than 1 child and want to take 2 classes?  This system won’t allow you to sign up additional children for a second class without paying the $63 fee again.  Please call us or email us after you sign up for the class and have us add your other children!  firststeps@aaps.k12.mi.us  OR  hyde@aaps.k12.mi.us   We will make sure all your children are in the class and there is NO additional fee.  It we don’t add all your children, classes can accidentally be far too crowded and less fun for all.

Music Together Classes:  We have a lottery for our 7-week Summer session and it occurs on May 14, 2013.  All classes will be filled before regular registration for classes.  The date for the lottery for Fall session will be posted in July.
