Huron Booster Club Achievement Awards
2006 Awardees

Congratulations to Charles Ball, a freshman basketball player and Allison Gorine, a senior swimmer and water polo player for being the recipients of the 2nd Annual Huron Booster Club Achievement Awards.   

The awards were presented by Huron Principal, Dr. Williams and Helen Miller, Booster Club President.
The Huron Booster Club awarded two (2) $1000 Achievement Awards as part of its annual Scholar-Athlete Program which was held on the evening of March 9, 2006.   The Booster Club’s Scholar-Athlete Program honors students who maintain a 3.2 or better grade point average during the semester in which they are a member of a sports team.   

One of the Booster Club’s Achievement Awards is designated for a female student, and one Achievement Award is designated for a male student.   Random selections were drawn from the male and female students who attended the program.   The $1000 Achievement Awards will become available to students after their graduation from Huron High School, and can be used for expenses related to enrollment in universities, colleges, community colleges, trade and technical institutes.

Congratulations to both Charles and Allison for their excellence in the classroom as well as on the playing field!
