CONGRATULATIONS to our Huron’s Business Professionals of America Chapter! Six Advisors—Diane Stocker-Bendersky, Karen Eisley, Christy Garrett, Scott Hunter, Dorothea Bryant and Craig Jobe along with 67 students recently attended the BPA States Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids, last Thursday, March 22nd and came back Sunday, March 25th. Overall, we had a total of 23 students place at the state level! In addition 15 students were awarded the Statesmen Torch Award for their community service efforts. Ms. Dorothea Bryant, BPA Advisor was recognized for her 10 years of dedicated service.

Additionally the Huron Chapter held a clothes drive over midwinter break and brought in 985 pounds with a value of $13,178 and 540 plastic returnable cans were collected giving us $54 in cash to donate to the Salvation Army. The Huron Chapter took 2nd place and will receive a $400.00 check as a cash award. Great job Huron BPA, and good luck to the 16 students who are going to compete at the National Conference!
