Ann Arbor Huron High School - Wanting and Getting a Job
      Wanting and Getting A Job

Want a job to help pay for car expenses, clothes, entertainment? What about pure job experience in a career field you are dreaming about?

Getting experience in the field is a good way to try out a potential career. It might convince you that it's right for you--or on the other hand---it may convince you that it is really wrong. Save yourself time and energy study and paying for the wrong courses in college.

10 Reasons to be on COE your Senior and Junior Year:

  1. Get a good job and the one that will be right for you.
  2. Make money $$$$$.
  3. Reduce class load requirements to 4 or 5 classes at Huron
  4. Get paid and receive credit for your job.
  5. Learn important business and computer technology skills.
  6. Gain credit (3.0) for the year!
  7. Prepare yourself for college.
  8. Receive college credit for a course you take in high school
  9. Learn to use the PC Platform.
  10. Develop and build your own portfolio!
Schedule Set? NO PROBLEM! The Huron counselors will adjust your schedule to include the school-to-work programs and the related courses.

2 Great Courses specifically designed to work with your job! The job option is what makes these two classes different than any other class you will take at Huron. Business Applications and Marketing Education.

We will help you find a job, or you may be able to receive credit for the job you already have.

We have great placements for our students. We offer jobs with many legal and medical offices, governmental offices and local engineering/automotive companies just to name a few. We will try to find a job that fits your career interest.

Retail placements may be located in the mall with a large company or small local companies in the Ann Arbor area.

Students must work 15 hours per week to receive COE credit.

You will receive 1.0 credit (that is like taking 2 classes each semester) for the work you do at your job.
