Dear Huron soccer players and families,

Huron Coach Richardson & Saline Coach Lampman invite you to support the 2nd Annual Coaches vs Cancer event at the 10/12/2010 Huron vs Saline game.

All silent auction, bake sale & T shirt proceeds will be given to the American Cancer Society.  Last year, we raised $2025 for ACS!!

To approach this goal, I need your help.

Please volunteer in one of the following ways:
1)  Bring cash/check book to the game.  Bidding will begin at the JV game & end at Varsity half time.  Winners will be notified by cell phone & asked to pick up their item after the Varsity game.

2)  Tshirts will be sold at the game:  short sleeved $10/shirt & long sleeved $15/shirt.  If sold out, orders will be taken at the game.

3)  Get auction items & provide information to Sy Moroi by Sunday, 10/10/2010, (smoroi@umich.edu , 4940 Ravine Ct, AA, MI; or have your son get it to either freshman Kazu Fetters or senior Tomo Fetters).  Use the attached donation request as a receipt.  Inform donors that they will be recognized at home game announcements & our Huron website.  I need the following info to make the auction sheet:  business name, value of donated item.

Suggested items:  gift cards to restaurants, gift cards to shopping, gift certificate for oil change, tickets to sporting event, certificate for golf game, bake sale items, or your expertise.

Some donated items:  One tutor SAT/ACT writing session by EMU Professor, Dr. Cathy Fleischer ($50);  three pink size 5 game balls by Motor City Soccer;  mini soccer balls by Motor City Soccer; 100 pink and purple cupcakes from Saline parent Mary; certificate from Expresso Royale.

4)  Staff the auction tables:
4a)  Help Sy set up during the Freshman game, 4 pm-5 pm
4b)  Help Sy man the auction/bake sale tables, 5 pm-6 pm
4c)  Help Sy man the auction/bake sale tables, 6 pm-7 pm
4d)  Help Sy man the auction/bake sale tables, 7 pm-8 pm  (silent bidding closes after Varsity half time)
4e)  Help Sy contact winners via cell phone, distribute item for pick up, clean up, 8 pm till done

I have asked for Saline parent volunteers, also.
