Huron Athletics Department
HURON MEN'S TENNIS TEAM

Info for Bringing Snacks and Food

The bagels/snacks/fruits need to be on the van if it is an away game before the team departs.  If it is a home game, it should be at Huron Athletic Department by 2:30pm (end of 6th Hour); the idea is to have food arrive before players begin to warm up or depart. You can put the snacks and fruits in a grocery bag labeled "Men's Varsity Tennis” by the athletic office if you need to leave them there at an earlier time. Make sure your child picks the food up from the office and brings them to the van or to the tennis court.   In addition, please make sure to label your containers with your name on it so they can be returned to you.

Snacks like granola bars, Chex Mix, Brownie, Chocolate chip cookies, or pita chips are popular. There will be some waiting time for the boys at the invitational (between matches or due to weather conditions), so anything you think the boys might like to have in between matches would be great.

As the matches may be going on at more than one site, you need to find out how many sites they will be playing for that day. The bagels and snacks need to be put in one bag for each site (the quantity should be adjusted according to the number of players for each site).  Since all the boys will warm-up together at one place in the morning, you can have all the bags at that place and then ask one player from each site to be responsible to bring the bags to the site.  Also, that player would need to bring the left over snacks back to the final site.

The person who provides fruits should pack them in multiple bags according to the number of sites; adjusting for the number of players. Bananas are always necessary. Other fruits such as grapes, oranges, apples, or watermelon on hot days are greatly appreciated

We will preorder and prepay for the bagels, you just need to pick up from 3205 Washtenaw Avenue, Ann Arbor - (734) 677-0400.  Please make sure they give you the receipt and give to Max Teener or Jon Seyhun (the team captains).

For lunch, Karen Stark will preorder and prepay, you will be notified which sub shop to pick up the lunch. Usually is a Subway/Jimmy Johns/Quiznos close to the match site.  Please make sure they give you the receipt and give to Max Teener or Jon Seyhun.
