FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED, ESPECIALLY SALADS   The Huron High School PTSO will be hosting the Staff Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday, December 7 from 12:45 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.  Please consider making a donation of food, beverages or your time to this important event!  The Staff Appreciation Lunches are a time honored tradition at Huron – giving parents a chance to thank our hardworking teachers, administrators and support staff. Thank you to those already contributing. Here’s what we still need:

POINSETTIA PICK UP DEC 2
The Grad Safe Party Poinsettia flower sale pick up is today in the hallway near the media center, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. We have some extra plants. Please come and check out the beautiful flowers!
 
CAR RAFFLE UPDATE
Oh wow, we’ve had a steady trickle of requests for Sell Six Tix packets. We distributed 61 packets since Oct. 20. Be sure to turn in your packets to the Huron Office by Dec. 9 so we can process them before the Dec. 12 TV drawing! As of Nov. 22, 857 tickets are sold for $14,850 in total sales.

STUDENT DIRECTORY
Huron PTSO distributed the new Student Directory during lunch on Nov. 22. After that date, students may pick up a directory on the display near the Main Office. This directory is a service of the PTSO, with cover art by student Andrea Dekker.
 
COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID NIGHT
Mark your calendar for Financial Aid Night for 12th grade in Meyers Auditorium. December 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Many college topics covered, parents/guardians for all grades welcome to this informative event.
 
COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP DEC. 5 – LIMITED SEATING
Financial Aid Workshop – limited seating, contact Mr. Wright (wrighti@aaps.k12.mi.us) to reserve your spot for this event. December 5, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the College & Career Center. Learn about the FAFSA and receive help in filling out the forms.
 
AMERICAN RED CROSS CLUB
Huron High School American Red Cross Club will meet on Monday, December 5th during 7th and 8th Hours in room 2205A.
 
CHESS TOURNAMENT
All staff and students are invited to participate in Huron's lunchtime chess tournament. Come to room #6206 or contact Mr. Long if you are interested.

Please attend the Huron PTSO meeting, Dec. 6 at 7:00-8:00 p.m. to review the Grants. PTSO Grants are a HUGE investment from our community for our community. Meet near Dr. Williams’ office.
