PICNIC POPS MAY 19
Don't miss the Huron Bands in concert this Saturday at the annual Picnic Pops held on the front lawn of Pioneer High School. This daylong carnival type event is filled with games, great food and great music performed by the Huron, Pioneer, Skyline and 8th grade bands in Ann Arbor. Soloing with the Symphony and Concert Band is Clarinetist and 2001 Huron graduate Staff Sergeant Jonathon Troy a member of the "Presidents Own" United States Marine Band. Don't miss this rare treat to hear one of our very own come back to serve his high school. Performing will be the Huron Symphony Band (11:15 a.m.), the Huron Concert Band (1:00 p.m.) and the Huron Varsity Band (2:00 p.m.).
CR AND ONLINE COURSES
CR & Online Pre-Registration for Semester 1, 2012 begins on May 11, 2012 at 3pm in the AAPS Moodle. Deadline to turn in completed CR and Online Registration Packet is June 4, 2012 at 3pm. More information and instructions can be found on the CR website.

Seniors! if you are receiving credit for your job, you MUST have your work hours recorded through May 18. You MUST have your hours turned in before you pick up your cap and gown. Missing hours worksheets are considered an obligation. Visit the COE Office if you have questions.

Parents’ financial support of the Graduation Party is a long held tradition at Huron. We are currently $1,200 short from reaching our parent donation goal of $2000 for the grad party. BPA WINNERS
CONGRATULATIONS to Ann Arbor Huron’s Business Professionals of America Chapter! Two Advisors—Diane Stocker-Bendersky and Christy Garrett, along with 15 students recently attended the BPA National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois last Tuesday, April 24th and came back Sunday, April 29th. Overall, we had a total of 8 people place at the national level!
Our national finalists include:
Mark Adams placed second in Computerized Accounting,
Zibo Zou placed second in Database Applications,
Rohan Paul placed ninth in Digital Media Production,
Michael Bondin placed second in Financial Math and Analysis (Open), and also placed ninth in Insurance Concepts (open),
William Chen placed sixth in Insurance Concepts (Open),
Suraj Jaipalli placed sixth in Medical Office Procedures,
Anuraag Parchuri placed tenth as a Merit Scholar, and
Brendon Hong placed fourth in Payroll Accounting.
We also had 12 students earn the National Torch Award (Michael Bondin, Jesmin Cao, Lisa Ruan, Gabriela Columna, Jeannette Daida, Shuvro Guha, John Harrison, Tiana Huang, Jeffrey Lee, Abhilash Modepalli, Sheeba Pawar, and Coleen Truong)– more than any other year!
