K-5 Grade Level Skill Sheets
The outcomes listed below are general statements of the essential skills and learnings identified for kindergarten through fifth grade. They reflect the grade-level expectations, as defined by the Michigan Curriculum Framework, that will move your child toward achieving the Michigan elementary content standards by the end of fifth grade.
K-8 Grade Level Content Expections (GLCE)
(requires Acrobat Reader)
Michigan's new nationally recognized GLCE provide schools, teachers and parents with the detailed information they need to understand what students are expected to know and be able to do at the end of each grade.
GLCE Parent Guides
(requires Acrobat Reader)
Extended Grade Level Content Expectations (EGLCE)
(requires Acrobat Reader)
The Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations have been modified for students with disabilities who take the Functional Independence Phase of MI-Access (the state test designed for students for whom the MEAP has been determined to be inappropriate, based on their disability). The modified GLCEs are called Extended Grade Level Content Expectations (EGLCEs). They have been created for English Language Arts and Mathematics, grades 2-8 and grade 11.
