Money, Money, Money

The lakewood PTO raises and spends more than $30,000 a year in supporting the education of our kids.  The money is used in:

Curriculum (65%): field trips, books, science olympiad, classroom enrichment and assemblies.

Outreach (25%): funds for teachers, fun after-hours activities, site and grounds improvements.

Hospitality (5%): food, gifts, donations.

Administrative (5%): school directory, newsletter, and yearbook.

Here are the ways to contribute:

Direct Donation: An easiest and most direct way. All donations are tax-deductible.

Fundraising Events:

• Live Auction: a fun night in March, bidding on items donated by Lakewood families and local business 
• Summer Celebration: a great way to end school year, with food, fun activities, raffle and silent auction.

Ongoing Fundraisers: no out-of-pocket cost

• Shop and Earn: shop locally or online, partcipating stores will donate to Lakewood
• Clip and Earn:  clip those special labels from your groceries and turn into school.  They earn $$ for the School. 10¢/box top, 10¢/soup label.
• SCRIP program: buy gift cards of your favorite stores from Lakewood PTO, who will receive a percentage of each card sold.
• Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop: donate used items to the store, check out the current store opportunities to see what you can do to earn $$ for the School.
