National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID)

This day was established to support African-American Parents' involvement in their children's education.  It is held in schools around the country on the second Monday of February each year.  Here at Lakewood, this is an opportunity for all parents to visit children's classroom to experience first-hand the teaching and learning environmnents provided on a daily basis.  It will happen on Monday, February 8, 2011.
