Ship Deck Shore
How we play:
Place four signs on each of the four walls, one is bow, one is stern, one is starboard, one is port. We also have four other signs below these, North, South, East, and West. Teacher is the caller to begin the game. When teacher calls out North all players must run to the North wall and stand on that sideline. Same for each of the directions and parts of the ship.
When teacher calls:
Lighthouse - Players stand on their toes with palms clasped together above their head slowly turning like a lighthouse.
Deck - All Players must lie on their stomachs
Officer On Deck - Students salute the teacher or caller
Row The Boat - Players get in groups of two, sit in a striaght line and pretend they are rowing a boat
Battle Stations - Students sit on the floor around each other back to back place their index finger over their eyes and scan for an enemy ship
Shore - All players lie on their backs like they are getting a sun tan or relaxing on the beach
Crow's nest - Players pretend they are climbing a ladder to reach the crow's nest
Swim To Shore - Students make swimming motions of their choice throughout the gym
