How to use a pedometer!

pedometer.jpg

This is a pedometer, it's similar to the one we use at Northside.

The kind we use is called a digi-walker.

Every child at Northside has used one and has one they call their own.

The upper grades(3-5) wear a

pedometer for almost every activity we do.

The fifth grades chart and record the number of steps

they have taken and the activity they were participating in.

It is recommended that everyone walk a total of ten

thousand steps a day to help them remain healthy.

Ten thousand steps is equal to five miles what a great way to add up the amount you moved each day! If you go here to the link listed below you can see how to figure out your heart rate.
