School was never like this. Can you imagine a school where all the classes are in Rock Music? Students at Rock -n- Roll High will spend their days learning everything there is to know about rock music and the instruments which drive it.

All classes are taught by professional musicians with years of experience in the music performance business. See class descriptions below.

When you "graduate" from this high school you will be ready to take on the world of Rock. Students will be provided with the official Rock & Roll high school "uniform" t-shirt.

Be sure to indicate your t-shirt size and the instrument you play when registering. Lunch: Students can bring their own lunch or purchase pizza slices and pop each day.

 Class Descriptions

Instrument Class: Whether you play guitar, bass, or drums you will spend some time each day studying your individual instrument in a small group setting.
Music Business: You will learn the structure of this vast and ever-changing field and how to work in and around the biz. Learn to create your band image, find gigs and promote your band. Rock History: Rock and roll is more than 50 years old. One way to understand where it is going is to know where it came from. Discover what made groups like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Nirvana so successful.

Music Tech: Modern music is increasingly dependent upon the technology that drives it. Students will learn fundamentals of sound reinforcement (e.g. mixing board operation), amplification, guitar and bass maintenance, drum set tech, acoustics and stage setup. Discover how to achieve the right sound for your musical style.

School Band: Every aspect of rock performance will be covered. Learn how to rehearse, read and write charts, create original songs, and communicate with your other band members in the language of music.

Physical Ed: Musicians need to be in top shape to endure the rigors of performing and touring. Some time each day will be set aside for recreational activities like frisbee, hoops, and hacky sack.
