Magazine Sales (QSP)

Each year, Slauson has one major fundraiser, the magazine sale. The company that we use for the magazine sale is QSP. If you click on the QSP logo, it will take you directly to their site. 40% of the profit from each magazine sale goes directly to the PTSO to help support extracurricular school activities. The QSP magazine sales is now a year long fundraiser. You have the opportunity to continue buying throughout the year and 40% of the profit from each sale goes directly to Slauson Middle School.

Boxtops for Education

Boxtops for Education is a year long fundraiser. It's easy to do and it's free! All you have to do is bring in "Boxtops for Education" labels from food products that you already buy. Each label is worth 10 cents for Slauson. Also, the advisory which brings in the most boxtops will win an advisory breakfast or lunch (to be decided by the advisory). All students will benefit from this easy and free fundraiser to participate in.

Slauson Food Drive

In the past years, the Slauson community has done a great job of donating food items. All contributions from the food drive will be donated to the Food Gatherers. The advisory from each grade which collects the most food items will receive a 50 dollar prize. Each advisory can decide how to spend the money -- whether to reward themselves, or to donate the money to some other cause. Monetary donations are also accepted - cash or check. Each dollar donated will count as one food item in the final tally. ($5 provides 25 meals!) Checks should be made out to the Food Gatherers. NO COINS PLEASE!

Note: Food Gatherers does not accept opened containers or expired products, and asks that you avoid items in glass. Here is a list of preferred items: tuna fish or other canned fish or meat, meat soups, hearty soups, canned spaghetti, chili, beans, baby food or formula, rice, dry beans, noodles, macaroni, granola bars, peanut butter, oatmeal, diapers, toothpaste and shampoo.
